At 11:05am CDT on June 11th, 2008 a Delta II rocket carried GLAST into a circular Earth orbit. Here is the launch coverage for as long as we could see the rocket. GLAST has separated from the spacecraft and extended its solar panels.

Here's a funny observation from yesterday's launch of the Delta/Glast that everyone might get a laugh at.
Upon watching the replay of the launch, there was a camera shot from the launch pad that seemed to be very close to the rocket body. When it launched, I thought it exploded as all I saw was a ton of smoke engulfing the shot. My heart totally jumped but a few seconds later, another angle showed it's upward trajectory. I was relieved to say the least.
May the GLAST bring back some wonderful data!!!
