SpaceX is the only private company to ever reach earth orbit with their Falcon 1 rocket. This is the FULl 40 minute webcast from about T-10 minutes until well after SECO. We didn’t want to cut out the chorus of cheering after the SpaceX crew realized that they had just made history!

This is the full launch event which was on September 24th at 9:28am UTC. In space launches boring is exciting and this sure was boreciting! The rocket is a Zenit-3SL and the payload is Galaxy 19 which will sit at 97 West for video and audio communications.

The rollout of Space Shuttle Endeavour for the Launch On Need 400 mission should Space Shuttle Atlantis be crippled on STS-125. Both Atlantis and Endeavour are now at the launch complexes at the same time making for an amazing view.

Launch of the GeoEye imaging satellite aboard a United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket. The GeoEye-1 satellite will provide extremely high resolution pictures to Google, most likely for use in their mapping products.
