This is the last time two space shuttles are scheduled to be on both launch pads at the same time. This even has not happened since 2001, and it is a rarity that is an amazing sight. After Space Shuttle Atlantis launches (no earlier than October 14th, 2008) Space Shuttle Endeavour will be moved from pad 39B to pad 39A allowing NASA to retire pad 39B and redesign it for use on Constellation.
