How does NASA get the space shuttle from California to Florida after it has landed at one of the alternate landing sites? They use the SCA of course!

A quick correction to the video. While there are seats in the SCA, they don’t look anything like what you saw in that picture. That picture is related to the SCA but is on a different aircraft, Pathfinder, which flies in front of the SCA to check weather, airspace, etc.

    Very cool! Do they make the pit stops at the same places every time, or does that change? Any ideas where they will be making pit stops on this journey home? thanks!

    I like that hairdo, C. Also, very informative, a lot of people who only saw Superman Returns think the shuttle can take off from the SCA- I'll point them here if I get asked again!
