On Friday October 9th, 2009 at 1131 UTC LCROSS slammed in to the moon, hopefully kicking up water to be analyzed and used for future human colonization of our nearest neighbor.

  1. juanjvarea says:

[..YouTube..] Congratulations all team of the NASA, we hope that with this mission we obtain important data of the moon that we want to know

  2. djmako7 says:

[..YouTube..] congrats nasa for wasting 583 million tax payers dollars

  3. lassequet says:

[..YouTube..] after 9 Apollo missions now they need to find out wether there is water on the moon or not?? Come onIt’s a covert operation. There’s something different going on up there. The cabal guys are ruling the agency from within

  4. Omnicron4735 says:

    [..YouTube..] Are these people professionals?
I thought NASA runs simulations before important events like this. They all sound like they are running this for the first time!
Cross talk, asking for confirmation at the last minute.
    DAMN!

  5. [..YouTube..] 9:11 denied!

  6. [..YouTube..] Blow the ******* **** up!
I’m sick of the man in the moon, time to get even.

  7. unxconformed says:

[..YouTube..] This mission was done with an incredibly small budget and an incredibly small staff. This was the cheapest way to determine if there was ice frozen in the permanently shadowed craters. Stop criticizing the LCROSS team if you don’t have the mental capacity to understand the mission or it’s importance…

NASA gets a fraction of 1 percent of the federal budget and is doing amazing stuff with it that has profound effects on the future of mankind. Pick something else to blame your problems on.

  8. fetoween says:

[..YouTube..] A success for NASA, congratulations!

    By Sonor

  9. clok555 says:

[..YouTube..] i went to OMSI to watch this live, but they were out of room in the auditoriuom so we couldnt watch it.but i was on the radio and we got to watch people saying:nude for the moon!,2 moons are better than one!,and stuff like that.

  10. [..YouTube..] lmao, that was hilarious. The highlight of the video. XD

  11. ToPoOl88 says:

[..YouTube..]

  12. AnimePlanet7 says:

[..YouTube..] 50 years ago Russia ‘scared’ to US into the ‘space-race’ and the US responded with it’s Apollo prgrams. 40 years ago the US “pretented” to go to the moon…now I am glad they really did it this time!! I hope Lcross did not destroy any ‘equipment’ we supposedly left on the moon, LOL!! Where are the HD pictures from Lcross?! Hhhmm! Nasa could have had the moon crawling with non-human robots by now, all at low cost, funny how they never did this! We could have ‘buckets of water’ from the moon now!

  13. tonybusen says:

[..YouTube..]

  14. nemesis3001 says:

[..YouTube..] “You’ve just wasted the last 15 years of your life dick head. We fucked it up.”

  15. juanjvarea says:

[..YouTube..] This is a lie of the ………., they try to justify the public’s expenses and military men’s expenses with these supposed missions …. they have spent a fortune trying to find water …. jajajaja…. they should worry in that we have in the planet

  16. L9C2G says:

[..YouTube..] if the wanted to get water for sure they shuld have shot up a MOAB bomb..HAHA

  17. ScienceKit says:

[..YouTube..] Seriously, AnimePlanet7? Wow… boys and girls, we have a prime example of ignorance.

  18. RHYMePRIMe says:

    [..YouTube..] i didnt see s….t!

  19. Coolgerb says:

[..YouTube..] Psst. You can see the equipment on the moon with the right gear.

    Idiot.

  20. SwiftNyce says:

[..YouTube..] there is robots being sent to mars for decades now….. so do you really believe nasa couldnt make it to the moon back then???

    ignorant fool

  21. grjls says:

[..YouTube..]

  23. [..YouTube..] so how did the mirror get up there which we bounce lasers off to measure the jitter of the earth as it spins?

  24. [..YouTube..] For all those of you saying USA hasn’t been on the moon, I just say this.. “If the USA didn’t go,, then NO ONE ELSE HAS BEEN THERE EITHER, ,NOT RUSSIA,, NOBODY. =\

  25. [..YouTube..]

****The moon does not property to the NASA but a common good of all humanity

  27. [..YouTube..]

  29. Ls2GTOmurder says:

[..YouTube..] Like Frank Santra said, ” Fly me to the moon”.
Lets do it again, let every one reach their dreams of being on the moon.
    At any cost!

  30. seballo2707 says:

FUENTE :RTVE

  41. caa1000 says:

[..YouTube..] Did they found water? I don’t think so! Oh wait! Is a money wasted pool being spotted on the moon surface!

  42. [..YouTube..] NASA is a disgrace, is this the best images they can do?? and they said they landed men on the moon in 1969??

NASA is keeping all the good stuff “HIDDEN”

  43. NAMLegolas says:

[..YouTube..] Obviously they are keeping the good stuff… that way they prevent other countries from doing their job that they worked hard on…

  44. TJMonster51 says:

[..YouTube..] Was it intercepted or something? You would figure something smashing into the surface of the moon at 5600 miles an hour would make some kind of impact!

  45. [..YouTube..]

  46. [..YouTube..] 9:06 is NASA high five fail!

  47. Iombo says:

[..YouTube..]

  48. nelson3300 says:

    [..YouTube..] rofl

  49. nilbud says:

[..YouTube..] Doess anyone know what the clinical condition(s) are for these goons who fall for conspiracy theories? Is it gullibility, cynicism, fear of the new, what’s the profile of the clowns?

  50. Iombo says:

[..YouTube..] That all this is for good. It would be the wish of all

  51. Rayrockny says:

[..YouTube..] Which conspiracy theories do you speak?

  52. Iombo says:

[..YouTube..] Exactly. Who knows what will be the moon

  53. steblizz says:

[..YouTube..] hahahahahahhaaaaa, yeah, it’s really funny!

  54. Mulfia says:

[..YouTube..] Looks like a high resolution still image zoomed in on, then near the end they flash a white screen…

Also – there was suppose to be TWO impacts not one. The second impact was suppose to be four minutes after the first.

Also – The “camera” was shaky. The moon doesn’t have Earths atmosphere so why is it shaking?
Seems like they could have done better (To me.. ).

Thinking for yourself or pointing out things that look afoot doesn’t make you a “conspiracy theorist”.

    • Emory Stagmer says:

BTW: the second impact was the shepherding spacecraft – which had the cameras on it. Kind of hard to take pictures of THAT…
      Emory

  55. [...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Red Angelus. Red Angelus said: For anyone like me who missed it this morning, RT @spacefuture LCROSS Lunar Impact #space http://bit.ly/2PfqEY [...]

  56. Brady says:

The best part of this video is after the shepherding spacecraft impacts the dude goes for a high five and gets left hanging.

  57. Brady says:

The best part of this video is after the shepherding spacecraft impacts the dude goes for a high five and gets left hanging.

  58. lmao I saw that. Was fucked up.

  59. mozart116 says:

yeah they need to place wireless video camreas on the moon, like image the impact! BOOM!! MAHAHHAHAA!! lol
but it would probaby take months years for the footage to come back lol

    Wagging the Moondoggie

    by David McGowan

    google it explains faked landings.

  61. imatthews37 says:

Why have we lost the 1960′s technology, when we had men bouncing around on the moon. Those guys just got the job done with laughable props wrapped up with gold foil, and tied together with selotape. So why can’t we manage anything even halfway impressive now?

ok, so they only had grainy, B&W, half-speed camera work back then. And hi-res cameras that never picked up a single star. But we got stuff done back in the 60′s, eh ?

Where’s the spirit (not to mention the tech!) gone?

    Weak!

  62. bodybag22 says:

What are you trying to say…. that we should send men to the moon just to look for water ice?
As you can plainly see it’s much safer and cheaper to do it this way, space travel is still ridiculously dangerous, challenger and columbia ring any bells?

The shuttle fleet is obsolete and will apparently be retired from service next year, after 30 years of use.

  63. AJConrady says:

opr 10?!?!?!?!really what was the need?!? anyone see a dome like object like i do?

  64. sheilakc says:

This is the most boring thing I’ve ever seen.

  65. its called the government doesn’t want to show all of it’s technology to people yet. so they keep it a secret.

  66. dualtek1 says:

fuck nasa just because the scientist went to the moon dosent mean that they are their planet those fucking assholes just wasted billions of dollars to do their research over nothing wit tat kind of money can help @ least 5-9% people that they dying from hunger arround the world god is getting mad and thats why we are been punished by the economy

  67. What was that explosion where they said “WTF” between 2:41 and 2:48 to the south-west area of the impact site near the bottom of the shadow of Cabeus?

  68. With the United States having long led the world in both lunar exploration and blowing shit up, this mission couldnt have really been any easier, so it came as no surprise that everyone seemed to be brimming with confidence. President BlackBush, Nobel Peace Prize in hand, was reportedly heard to say: How do you like me now, motherfuckers?! Im going to bomb the motherfucking Moon! You all thought that punk-ass bitch that preceded me was arrogant? Watch how I roll!

  69. I wonder who the guy in the black shirt who left around the 9 minute mark was? Such an exciting time, yet, no-one said goodbye to him and he didn’t say it to anyone else! He doesn’t look like part of the team to me!!

    • Emory Stagmer says:

The guy who packed up and left in a big hurry is Mark Shirley, the payload lead and one of the scientists on LCROSS. He knew he had a press conference in 2 hours a bucket load of data to analyze!
      Emory

  70. 77psyco77 says:

    super large couldron of feces

  71. janeengstrom says:

probably embarrassed that he was a part of whatever deception was going on

  72. Fuck off, you worthless cunt. Nobody believes the moon landings were faked.

  73. hdog505 says:

Let’s see it take us 8 years to get to the moon from scratch and now after supposedly going 6 times and with improved technology we can’t make it ‘back’ by 2020.

  74. hdog505 says:

Too bad NASA ‘lost’ all the data from the missions.

  75. MrTommYYZ says:

Youvebeen, You have been lied to since birth, so have I. Please, with the language, nothing will be gained with anger. Read the series by Dave Mcgowan, then say the same thing. If you would have asked me a month ago I would have said we landed….six times…during a cold and hot war…with disposable craft every time….yeah sure we did.

  76. MrTommYYZ says:

Wagging the moondoggie by Dave McGowan.

  77. No, you see, I believe in a little thing called science. Man walked on the moon, 6 times.

  78. MrTommYYZ says:

Dave mcgowan uses science too eh. Read it you will like it. Start with this one. Its 270 degrees in the sun and minus 300 in the shade. Those are some pretty magic suits huh?

  79. hdog505 says:

Got to love how these guys talk science but believe in folding lunar rovers, lol.

    Stupid bootlickers.

    • Emory Stagmer says:

Oh we believe in folding lunar rovers and so we’re idiots? There’s one in the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. You can look at it from 2 feet away. It’s perfectly obvious how it folds up when you look at it.

  80. hdog505 says:

Gotta hand it to McGowan, just destroyed the moon landing hoaxes.

It took us 8 years to land on the moon but 40 years later with vastly improved technology and all the knowledge from all the earlier ‘missions’ we can’t go ‘back.’ Hahaha.

I hope in 10 years or so we’ll have personal computing machines.

  81. toechesse says:

Now since they detonated, we have had hell weather here on earth. What two globes rule our wind and water. There is the reason why gestation is 28 days when it goes to 29 days you’ll know why. There is a reason why high tide is higher during a full moon. Who is the nut that allows these experiments and why?

We have enough water. We don’t need to travel to other planets. Soon we will be saying kill all the stupid experimental scientist!

  82. its science!!! BAHAHA oh man

  83. toepebble says:

To the conspiracy theorists who claimed Jerry Garcia was not dead, I apologize.

  84. @toechesse This was much to small to have the kind of lunar effects you are talking about. You need medication.

  85. Paun991 says:

You missed one detail: Space Shuttle can’t go to the Moon, and other thing are now in focus, not some recreating walk 380 000 kilometers from Earth.

  86. socrstreets says:

    That’s science bitches, it works.

  87. I still can’t believe this stupid ass old camera was there. What is it, like 1-2 frames per second? What century is this?!

  88. eatwoodman says:

What does fps have anything to do with this? The camera was obviously not intended to take Hollywood cut scenes on the moon -_-

  89. Well I believe that they definatelly could put something like a web camera on there. Such a great shot is ruined by the FPS factor, in my oppinion.

  90. webwog says:

Crappy cameras or crappy censorship. Either way, we’re fucked.

  91. buckfushes says:

What did they tape a cell phone camera on there last minute for this!?

  92. lmusho says:

This is not the video NASA filmed. Im not fooled in the slightest.
