The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter was offline for a good chunk of 2009, but as of mid December NASA was able to bring the Mars orbiting satellite back online.

    wonder what 'they' were doing for the week on mars that they 'blinded' our instruments, mmmm lol look out for strange green gaseous jets and the cylinders that will surely follow muahahaha

    It is the Great Galactic Ghoul.

    From Wikipedia:

    Or IS it fictional??
