Ah yes, the question that all school kids ask: how do you go to the bathroom in space? Tee hee hee! Well, as it turns out, solid waste is not as easy as you may expect. We caught up with Astronaut Richard Garriott after his presentation at the 2010 International Space Development Conference in Chicago, IL where he told his space waste story. Enjoy!

    Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love to fly to space?

    (2) Why do we want to explore the space and milky way?

    (3) Why do we feel that space tiolet is so funny and amusing?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstrom!!! :)

  5. applesweeter says:

P.S. For me, I will think twice before using that tiolet, because the vacuum mechanism will give me too much simulation on my “private part” of my lady body.

I do not want to have a “honeymoon sensation” before my marriage.

    Dear All,

I have some questions about applesweeter:

    (1) Who is she and why does she posts these numbered questions?

    (2) Why would we want to answer those questions?

    (3) Why does she feel that people would want to answer her questions?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstrom!!! :)

    Enlightening. Hah!

  10. Chris Radcliff says:

Thanks for capturing this. I’ve felt for years that on-orbit plumbing problems (and toilets specifically) were the true underappreciated difficulty. It was good to hear about it from someone who’d actually been up.

Besides, he practically begged the audience to ask him about it. I was surprised that no one else did.

  11. ha, something that has never even crossed my mind …. until now. Thanks alot guys :P

Size of a soda can? I see now why the Americans finally installed their own toilet. It must be bigger.
