We have all seen the e-mail. Mars will be as big as the moon. First time in a kazillion years that it will happen, your only chance ever to see it. Interestingly enough I seem to get that first time in a kazillion years and will never happen again e-mail every year, so which is it? Is Mars as big as our Moon once a year, or do we have an e-mail hoax on our hands? Spacevidcast’s own Jeph answers the question and hopefully put this silly e-mail to rest once and for all. Realistically, probably not.

the moon is way smaller than mars i mean like the earth is no more than a couple of km bigger in diameter….Is silly to think that the moon is the same size than Mars…(I’m a Martian I know my planet) ROFL!
Mars is about half Earth’s diameter. Slightly less, in fact (6000 km compared to 12,700 km). The moon is about 1/4 of Earth’s diameter
It’s called “I’ve Got Sunshine” from Plastic3. However, it is designed for TV, Radio, Podcasts, etc which means that you have to buy a license. You can get it for as low as $13.00, although it goes up if you need an extended license.
