IBEX Launch

IBEX launched on Sunday, October 19th at 5:48pm UTC. There were two phases of the launch:
1) Launch from Kwajalein on Pegasus LV, including spin up, and
2) SRM operations, which begin with LV separation. Launch operations are performed with a standard Pegasus XL.

Launch of the GeoEye-1 satellite aboard a Delta II Rocket

Launch of the GeoEye imaging satellite aboard a United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket. The GeoEye-1 satellite will provide extremely high resolution pictures to Google, most likely for use in their mapping products.

Launch of EchoStar XI - Ocean based launch by Sea Launch Company

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

On Wednesday, July 16th at 12:21am CDT a Zenit-3SL rocket launched via the ocean based Odyssey launch platform. The Zenit-3SL rocket carried EchoStar XI into space while the Block DM-SL upper stage inserted it into geosynchronous transfer orbit. The final location for EchoStar XI will be 110 degrees West Longitude.
