This was a groundbreaking announcement made at the 2008 X PRIZE Foundation’s Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge. Not only will New Mexico be the state hosting Spaceport America, but it will also be carrying Virgin Galactic as well as the newly announced vehicle from Armadillo Aerospace in cooperation with the Rocket Racing League. This is the launch attempt of TrueZer0’s Ignignokt rocket for the 2008 X PRIZE Foundation’s Northrup Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge. After the failure, the vehicle was unable to launch again to attemp a second flight.

This is the first launch attempt of Armadillo Aerospace’s MOD rocket at the 2008 X PRIZE Foundation’s Northrup Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge. This particular launch ended early with the MOD touching the pad about 30 seconds too soon. As such it was not a qualifying launch for the level 1 prize.

Soyuz TMA-13 goes up, docks and fixes a toilet. The ISS is getting a makeover, and part of that is to add another toilet. SpaceX has some new contracts going out… and… The Northrop Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge is BACK ON for October 24th and 25th, 2008!!! SpaceVidcast will be there to cover the event live.
