Spacevidcast is gearing up for STS-133! From now until October 29th, 2010 we will be trying to raise $10,000 to purchase a new 12-core MacPro with new capture cards. This new system will allow us to broadcast in both HD and SD at the same time at full frame rate while also broadcasting a higher quality feed from KSC for you to view! Once we’re done with STS-133 this system will be not only used for our weekly shows, but also to deliver NASA TV HD to you in full resolution rather than the 640×360 that we’re streaming now.

In order to make this happen, we have set up several levels of donations for everyone to help us out! Every donator will get something, and the more you donate, the more you get! These are all one-time donations. All funds will go directly back in equipment for the show itself.

$5.00 donation – This is a great starter pack and will get you a Spacevidcast sticker

$10.00 donation – You’re stepping it up! In addition to the sticker you’ll also get epic for a month!

$20.00 donation – Well now you have stepped up to a sheet of Spacevidcast stickers, and that awesome epic access

$50.00 donation – Now we’re starting to make a dent! How about a bag of Blast Off Blend, a sticker and a keychain plus epic access for a month

$100.00 donation – Now you’ll get some Blast Off Blend, a sheet of stickers and the keychain and now we’re talking about a YEAR of epic

$250.00 donation – You’ll be one of the first to get Tea Minus Zero, Blast Off Blend, stickers, keychain and a year of epic

$500.00 donation – You get everything from the $250.00 level plus a AG-7 Space Pen with the Spacevidcast engraving

$1,000.00 donation – You get everything from the $500.00 level plus you become a Spacevidcast Founder

$2,500.00 donation - You get everything from the $1,000 level plus special mention during the final space shuttle launches, live. You also get a second set of tea and coffee signed by both Benjamin and Cariann.

$5,000.00 donation – You get everything from the $2,500 level plus mention in all live show credits for the remainder of the year and a special graphic on the screen during all remaining shuttle launches.

$10,000.00 donation – You get everything from the $5,000 level plus special mention in all live show credits for all of 2011 as well as a 30 second commercial played in the remainder of the live shows for the rest of 2010.

We are currently at $13,750.47 of our needed $10,000! We have placed the order for the new system and expect it to be here just in time for STS-133!
